What membership means

Everything a Patron Receives

Not a subscription box. Not a tote bag. Every benefit is tied directly to the books we make and the poets we publish.

01

Every Book, Before Anyone Else

All four poetry collections published each year — mailed to you directly, ahead of bookstore release. Your copy numbered and reserved.

02

Low Number, Hand-Selected

Your copies carry early sequence numbers from our limited print run of 250. A detail that matters to collectors and readers alike.

03

The Patron Letter

A personal letter from the founding editor with each book — on the making of it, the poet behind it, and what it means to us. Not published anywhere else.

04

Private Readings & Conversations

Annual patron-only readings with our poets. Small rooms, real conversation. You are not an audience — you are part of the circle.

05

LemonLight Prize Access

The winning poem from our annual $3,000 prize, printed and mailed to you. Be among the first to hold the work before it reaches the world.

06

Named in Every Book

Patrons are acknowledged by name in the colophon of every title published during their membership. Your support made this book possible.

Major Gifts & Foundations

If you are considering a gift of $1,000 or more, wish to fund an entire edition, or are enquiring on behalf of a foundation, trust, or corporate giving programme — we would love to speak with you directly. A major gift funds a poet's complete limited edition and, where appropriate, a hand-bound fine art copy from McCall Bindery.

A note from the founding editor

Why This Circle Exists

We do not believe poetry needs saving. We believe it needs witnesses — people who will hold a book, read it slowly, and pass it on. The Bound Circle exists because we cannot make the press we want to make without you.

Every membership funds a book. Literally. Your $200 covers the printing cost of one poet's limited edition. Your name in the colophon is not a courtesy — it is the truth of how this work gets made.

We are slow on purpose. Small on purpose. And we intend to last.

With gratitude, G. K. Allum  ·  Founding Editor & President

Books are mailed to patrons one to two weeks before public release. You will receive a dispatch note from us when your copy is on its way.
